RNLI Tamar/D-Class Combined Station, Shoreham-By-Sea, West Sussex
New Lifeboat station housing two lifeboats; The Tamar Class all-weather and a D-Class inflatable lifeboat. The building has a Glulam timber-frame structure with a curved standing seam natural aluminium roof, and is clad with natural Baltic larch timber boarding – selected both because of its durability and the material’s connection with the timber rowing boats that were historically used by the RNLI.
